My alarms start going off at 7:30 and I usually get up around 7:50. I am not a morning person, so it takes me a while to get going. Sometimes I go to the dining hall, but I usually have some granola bars or something in my room for breakfast before heading out to class.

I usually only go to morning extra help once a week depending on what’s going on at school and how the schedule rotates.

This is one of my favorite classes. The topics are very interesting. There are also a lot of seniors in that class so I get to be with students, like my soccer teammates, that I don’t usually have class with.

I do a lot of reading and take a lot of notes for this class but it’s fun and interesting because it’s my first ever U.S. history class. Mr. Hutcheson is great and brings a lot of humor to the class as well.

This is when I usually go to extra help because, like I said before, I’m not a morning person. My teachers are almost always available, even if I don’t set up an appointment. If I don’t need extra help, I go to the student center or my room and relax for a while.

This is the first time in a while that I’ve taken a math class that isn’t honors level or higher, so it’s a little easier for me. Dr. Kennedy is great. He includes fun things like trivia questions that aren’t math-related on quiz days just to keep us on our toes.

I go to the dining hall for lunch every day. The dining hall is good, although I think the dinners are a bit better than lunch, probably because there’s less people to prepare for at dinner. I can always find something I like at both meals in the dining hall.

I really like Spanish. I went to Spain last summer as part of the Baylor Exchange program and that was wonderful. My Spanish got a lot better while I was there. Which is good because we’re not allowed to speak English in Profe’s class.

I just switched to wellness with Ms. Thomas, who is one of the soccer coaches. We’re learning a lot about mental health.

4:00 p.m.
ATHLETICS: We have a very close soccer team, like a big family. Practice is hard but we all push each other to do our best. Being on the state championship team was great fun. I’ll be taking the winter season off, catching up on some school work and then I’ll run track or pre-soccer in the spring.

6:00 p.m.
DINNER: After practice, I head to the dining hall and talk to my friends while we eat.

8:00 p.m.
EVENINGS: After dinner I go to the dorm for a shower, hang out for a while, and then get ready for study hours. I usually study in my room and can get done with my homework by 10:30 on most nights. I try to be in bed by 11:15.
