I’ve seen all his movies,
some of them twice,
I’ve stalked him all over town
some of them twice
I’ve photographed his wives
some of them twice
I can get him to talk to me
some of them twice
I doubt you’ll remember me
Jeevan works as a paparazzo
wanted to be done with it
filled with mystery
and impossibly distant
it’s lonely
makes as a passable living
but sick to death
of stalking celebrities
their footsteps echoing
behind sidewalk planters
and in parked cars
I want to do something that matters
He’d spent an enormous
amount of time
doing something that matters
I want to be the one
to step forward
It means I do
what I say I’m going to do
He had told no one
Arthur and Elizabeth split
absolutely no one
for a full twenty-four hours
he’d been quiet
after the interview
something that matters
