Found Poem: Just Miserable... I Feel Peace
Orly Berke, Reese Dixon, and Creighton Arrington

Dear God,
Just miserable. That's what I thought I was.
I feel like my mind stuck.
I prayed to die, so I didn't have to speak.
Sleep remained a stranger to this night.

If a mule could tell folks how it's treated, it would.
A burnt finger remember the fire.
I figure this the lesson I was supposed to learn.
Everybody learns something in life.

But I have love, and I have been loved.
I think us here to wonder. To wonder. To ask.
The more I wonder, the more I love.
Kind feeling is all I have to offer you.
Because you are who are, the future look happy and bright.

And then I figured this the lesson I was supposed to learn.
I feel peace with the world.
AMEN.
