Found Poem: Bloody Hell: A New World Requires New Gods
Ava James, Georgia Johnson, Rhet Johnson, and Stella Ogorsolka
People just vanished
I never saw them again
No lights crossed the cloudless sky
Darkness pooled over the earth
When it rains it pours
There’s really nothing out there
Nothing good at least
There’s still a world out there
But what kind of world?
What drives them?
What moves them?
What kind of thing?
I signed a contract
I’m a man of my word
Trying to survive
People managing to do the things that actually matter
A candle flickering in vast darkness
The night sky brighter than it had been before
They had light inside
The effect was oddly cheerful
He had never felt so alive
The lights will come back on someday
They have to
The night sky will be a wash of light
