I open it up and read the first word.
It's just like walking through a summer day.
The story spreads out like a flying bird.
I slowly drift again and slip away.
Within the story traveling astray,
Smile, love, laugh; shiver, fear, and shake.
From every dark night to every bright day,
As strong as anything, stories don't break.
Fantastic words fly out of the next page,
Each new one builds up like the greatest wall.
Emotions swirling: thrill, joy, love, and rage,
The words never fail whenever I call.
The immortality of books is all,
As long as there are books, I will not fall.
