The Art of 2,112 Hand Placed Notes

"The image is comprised of 2,112 hand placed notes. Mr. Montgomery’s 8th grade, art and technology, class installed most of the mosaic in just over an hour. The students filled out gridded worksheets, so they would know where to place each note in earlier classes. This project is similar to a paint by numbers painting where each color block corresponds to a number somewhere on the design. In this project students place each note to create the low resolution “pixelated" image. Because the space is small and the image is large viewers may need to look through there mobile device to see the image."
