We are pleased to announce that Susan Reynolds will serve as the Parent Alliance president for a two-year term (2017-18 and 2018-19). In her role as president, she will also be a member of the Baylor Board of Trustees. Susan and her husband, Jim, live in Chattanooga and are the parents of Alex, Jay ‘07, Jack ‘16, and Sam ‘18.
The mission of the Parent Alliance is to be a responsible and relevant partner with the Baylor community in advancing the school’s mission by giving parents a forum in which to communicate their interests, cares and concerns to the administration and one another and by planning and producing events and activities that support this purpose.
As parents, step-parents or guardians of a Baylor student, we all are members of the Baylor Parent Alliance. The Baylor Parent Alliance was formed so that parents could get involved with Baylor. Parents have a role to play, in partnership with Baylor’s administration, staff and faculty, in ensuring the best environment possible for the education and development of Baylor students. The Parent Alliance is the vehicle that enables parents to get involved at Baylor. Through the Parent Alliance, parents can:
• Be a resource for Baylor’s administration, faculty and staff
• More effectively contribute their time and talents as volunteers
• Help build school spirit and a sense of school community
• Foster parent-to-parent communication and support
• Help promote and market the school
