Twelve Juniors Chosen for Joe Key Award

Baylor juniors (back row, left to right) Ridley Browder, Morgan Burnette, Caroline Barker, Max Berube, Connor Duffy, Max Montague, Anika Iqbal, (front row, left to right) Sophie Workinger, Katy Waddell, Kate King, Leah Kessler, and Jake Weekley have been selected for the Joe Key Award, a trip that recognizes selfless character and involves seven days of sea-kayaking, hiking, and camping on the islands in Acadia National Park this July.

The trip is named in honor and memory of the late Joe Key, who worked at Baylor from 1961 to 1988 as a military instructor and study hall supervisor and was affectionately known as "Sarge." He was the father of science instructor Perry Key '81. The trip celebrates students of admirable character whose selfless efforts might otherwise go unrecognized by the school or their peers.
