The Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association recognized a trio from Baylor School at their Annual Awards Luncheon in Franklin.
Teddy Lepcio, a 2018 graduate of Baylor, was recognized as the Division II Player of the Year. As a Baylor senior, Lepcio captained the 2018 Red Raiders to their first TSSAA State Championship in 12 years. The infielder batted .363 with four home runs and 28 RBI. Off the diamond, Lepcio was recognized as a National Merit Scholar, an AP Scholar, editor of the Baylor Notes, and served as chair of the Student Leadership Board. He is currently in his first year at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Greg Elie and Mike Kinney were recognized as Division II Coaches of the Year. In their first year as Co-Head Coaches, Elie and Kinney led Baylor to a 24-6 record including the 2018 East-Middle region championship and the 2018 TSSAA Division II-AA state championship, The title was Baylor's first since 2006 and third in the school's history.
