Hendricks, Urey Lead Baylor's Rise as State Hoops Contender

Patrick Urey hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Baylor boys' basketball team a 70-68 overtime win over nationally-ranked Brentwood Academy in Nashville Friday night. The win over BA comes just one week after the Raiders knocked off the top-ranked team in the state, undefeated McCallie, and solidifies Baylor's emergence as a state championship contender.

Against Brentwood Academy, Beyuan Hendricks led the Raiders with 23 points, including five 3-point goals. Urey had two 3s and finished with 13 points. Read more on the Raider Recap.

Baylor topped McCallie 54-51 with Hendricks hitting five of Baylor's ten 3-point field goals and finishing with 22 points while Urey was good on three 3-pointers, adding 13 points for the Raiders. Baylor led by 10 heading into the fourth quarter and made enough free throws down the stretch to hold off a McCallie run. Read more on the Raider Recap.

After an easy win over Pope John Paul II in Duke Arena on Saturday, Baylor's record is 11-4 overall and 5-1 in league play.
