For the first time in Baylor history, the girls' and boys' basketball teams will both make appearances in the state tournament Final Four this weekend.
The Baylor girls (20-9) beat Hutchison 64-42 in a quarterfinal match-up in Memphis on Friday and will take on Brentwood Academy (27-2) Friday at 2:15 ET. The Baylor boys scored the final seven points of the game to eliminate Ensworth 54-48 in a quarterfinal game in Duke Arena Saturday. The Raiders (18-6) play Briarcrest (29-3) Friday at 12:30 ET. All games are at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena.
This will be the seventh Final Four for the Baylor girls - 1999, 2000, 2001 (state runner-up), 2009, 2015, and 2016 (state runner-up) - and the sixth for the Baylor boys - 1987 (AAA), 1998, 2002 (state runner-up), 2007, and 2012.
