A Red Letter Day at the Spring Fling #GBR!

Thursday, May 24 was a RED LETTER DAY in Baylor Spring Fling history!  Three state championships were decided and all three went to Baylor teams.

To start the day, Baylor defeated MUS 12-4 to win its first state title in baseball since 2006; then Baylor scored a tying run while down to their last out twice and eventually beat GPS 4-3 in ten innings to win their fourth straight state softball crown; and the evening wrapped up with a thrilling championship soccer match with Baylor beating McCallie in a penalty kick shootout (4-3) after 1-1 in regulation and 2-2 after overtime.

That brings Baylor's total of state championships at this Spring Fling to four, as the girls' tennis team defeated GPS for their eighth straight state title on Tuesday. The Baylor boys were the state runner-up.

As the Spring Fling wraps up Friday, there are potential individual state championships in tennis (singles and doubles) and track and field. Team titles will also be decided at the track.  You can follow all of the TSSAA spring fling action here.  #GBR!
