Joe Key Award Winners Enjoy Their "Maine" Event

Just weeks before the new school year began, Baylor welcomed back seniors Caroline Barker, Max BerubeRidley Browder, Morgan Burnette, Connor Duffy, Anika Iqbal, Leah Kessler, Kate King, Max MontagueKaty WaddellJake Weekley, and Sophie Workinger, the recipients of the 2019 Joe Key Award.  The group had just concluded a seven-day adventure of sea-kayaking, hiking, and camping on the islands of Maine's Acadia National Park.

The award honors rising seniors with admirable character whose selfless efforts might otherwise go unrecognized by the school or by their peers,  and is named in honor and memory of the late Joe Key, who worked at Baylor from 1961 to 1988 as a military instructor and study hall supervisor and was affectionately known as "Sarge." He was the father of science instructor Perry Key '81
