Congrats to AP Scholar Award Winners

Congratulations to the 173 Baylor students and recent graduates who earned 185 Advanced Placement Scholar Awards for 2019 in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams taken in May. Traditionally, about 20 percent of approximately two million students worldwide who take AP Exams perform at a sufficiently high level to earn an AP Scholar Award.

Nine Baylor students were named National AP Scholars, receiving an average score of at least 4 (on a five-point scale) on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. Baylor’s National AP Scholars are 2019 graduates Jackson Collette, Elizabeth Hayslett, Jack Holcombe, Sydney Anne Sutherland, and Lily Zabel; and current seniors Jade Liu, John Liu, Candice Xie, and Kenny Zheng.
