A recent newsletter by the Chattanooga area Fellowship of Christian Athletes commended Baylor's FCA chapter, coaches, and Baylor School Athletic Director Mark Price, while noting record attendance at Upper School and Middle School meetings.
"In over 20 years of FCA ministry, I have seen countless coaches use their influence for God's glory. This year, one of the greatest examples is at Baylor with the high school and middle school FCA groups," wrote Jay Fowler, Baylor's FCA representative. "It all started when Athletic Director Mark Price and his wife, Kara, committed to see FCA flourish in their athletic community. Mark recruitd new coaches Rheagan Hall, Tony Easley, and Chris Debien to jump in with FCA and they have brought great energy. Veteran coaches Sarah Lail, Kelli Smith, and Curtis Blair have joined long time huddle coach Julian Kaufman in attending nearly every meeting. New Middle School coach Talon Stroud has orchestrated a major resurgence in the lower school with the help of many of the same coaches. Baylor Chaplain Alex Gallimore stands firmly behind the group, and Kara Price has a team of parents praying and getting snacks for meetings."
