Students Study Art in the Heart of Italy

This year's advanced art students had the extraordinary opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistic and cultural richness of Florence, Italy through the Liz Aplin trip.

Making the trip were juniors Mady Campbell, Gabby Goldstein, and Braylee Newell; and sophomores Quin Harris, Clara McNeely, Katherine Pipes, Adela Sewell, Brinley Smith, and Tate Phillips. Faculty chaperones were art instructors Greta Mountain and Ben Sposet, along with Betsy Carmichael, making her last Liz Aplin Trip following her retirement.

The biennial trip honors the memory of fine arts instructor Liz Aplin, who taught at Baylor for a decade before her passing in 2000.
