Capital Gifts

By making a capital gift to Baylor, donors are contributing to enhancing facilities, academic programs, scholarships and financial aid that will benefit students for years to come.  The two-year Forever Forward capital campaign (2017-2019) raised $50 million and became the largest comprehensive fundraising effort in the school’s history.

The centerpiece of the campaign was the Scotty Probasco Academic Center, which replaced outdated classroom spaces currently located in the basements of several older buildings, including Lupton Annex.  This paved the way for the significant renovation of Lupton Annex that will boost Baylor's strategic goal of increasing the school's boarding enrollment from 200 to 250.  Capital gifts are also supporting the addition of  seven new townhomes in the faculty village that will be completed in 2024.

2022-23 Lupton Annex Renovation

Lupton Annex was completed in 1954 and included four apartments on the top two floors and four classrooms on the first floor. The spacious basement was converted to accommodate four additional classrooms.  It was connected by passageways to Lupton Hall, where a majority of the boarding boys roomed at the time.  In the renovated building, the passageway (see below) has been redesigned to include a balcony with views of the Tennessee River and surrounding mountains.
