Baylor Backers Mission

The mission of the Baylor Backers booster club is to provide additional financial and program support for the arts and athletic programs at Baylor.  Funds raised are directed to “non budgeted” items that are considered necessary to enhance the student, fan, and audience experience.

Baylor Backers is a membership-based booster club and not a substitute for donations to The Baylor Fund.  As always, the Baylor Fund comes first as the highest priority for giving to Baylor.  *All donors to the Baylor Fund at $10,000 and above are automatically enrolled as a Baylor Backer member at the Platinum level.

Baylor Backers Make a Difference

Since 2011, the Baylor Backers have contributed over $2,080,000 in additional support for arts and athletic programs.  Recent program enhancements in 2023-24 include:

• 3D printers
• Equipment and tools for theater and Form & Function classes
• Pottery kiln
• Student musician chairs (instrumental & vocal music)
• Musical instruments
• Receptions for art gallery openings, student performances, and theatrical productions
• Music recording studio equipment
• Costumes for dance and theater programs
• HUDL video subscription 
• Annual fees for website and app (via Sidearm Sports)
• Wrestling and cheerleading mats
• Football sled
• Student athlete travel experience support
• Recovery equipment for the athletic training room
• Velocity-based training technology and Vertimax training equipment for the Oehmig Center
