Jeff Gaither joins the Baylor English department and will coach track. Gaither began his career at Baylor in 1987, serving as an English instructor, head boys cross country coach, and head girls track coach. He went on to teach and coach at the Darlington School in Rome, Ga. and then to serve as head cross country coach, head track coach, and English teacher at Girls Preparatory School. He earned his B.A. in English from the University of Georgia. Jeff and his wife, Kay, will be living in Probasco Hall where he will serve as a dorm parent.

Gaither was recently inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a head coach which include coaching 48 individual track and cross-country champions and being named coach of the year multiple times by the National Federation and Times Free Press. As a runner himself, he has completed 20 marathons.
