Baylor Swimming Facilities

Baylor Aquatic Center Among Tops in the Nation

Baylor's campus boasts the area's only indoor 50-meter pool and is an exceptional facility for students at all levels who want to participate in Baylor's swimming and diving program. The "long-course" pool measures 50 meters by 25 yards, and includes a diving well and a seating capacity of approximately 600. Dedicated in December, 2005, the facility was a boost to Baylor's swimming and diving program, which has produced more state championships, more All-American athletes, and more college scholarships than any other sport in Baylor's athletic history.

Baylor Training Equipment

The Baylor swim program boasts one of the finest facilities in the country. In addition to our fine facilities we also have state of the art training equipment. At Baylor we regularly make use of 5 power racks that we have available. Our sprinters and middle distance specialists can most often be found using this piece of equipment.

The sprinters and the middle distance swimmers can be found working on one of the 2 power towers found on our pool deck.

Our swimmers have the benefits of being filmed as well as training in a 10’x 16’ endless pool. This pool provides a flume effect, much like equipment found at the Olympic Training Center

In addition to these training opportunities you will find 3 VASA trainers, 6 stationary bikes, medicine balls, pull-up bars and plyo balls. A visit to our pool during a practice will often resemble a well oiled three ring circus. Swimmers are often in found in various areas with specialized workouts.

Baylor swimmers will go through the battery of land – water strength testing as offered to United States Swimming National Team members.

The Baylor Aquatic Center also features an "Endless Pool" for training and lessons.

And Baylor swimmers have the benefit of a fully equipped weight room and a state of the art Cardio room complete with 4 flat screen TV’s.
