With world class, national champion fencer Kristin Vines as head coach, Baylor has built one of the top high school fencing program in the Southeast. Baylor competes the On Guard High School Fencing League in has been league champion every year since joining in 2017.
Prior to joining the On Guard High School Fencing League, Baylor teams and individual fencers won numerous championships in Tennessee from 2000-2017.
Baylor fencers compete often in USA Fencing sanctioned open tournaments with many athletes qualifying for various national championship events.
Several members of the Baylor fencing team have been named to the USA Fencing High School All-American and All-Academic teams.
Baylor fields varsity teams for boys and girls in foil and epee weapons. The team trains in the fall and competes primarily in the winter and spring seasons.
Instructional, non-competitive fencing sessions are offered to Middle and Upper School students during the fall and spring terms.
