Resilient Raiders Win Ninth Straight Title

Baylor 4, Hutchison 2. The Baylor girls' tennis team won its ninth straight state championship Wednesday, rallying for four singles match wins after losing the doubles point.

Landie McBrayer's hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 win over Grace Anne Dunavant at number one sealed the deal with Carolyn Reid, Paige Gilbert, and Grace Mooney adding easier victories.

The state title is the 13th for Baylor, adding to titles in 1993, 1996, 1999, 2000, and 2011-2018. Baylor finishes the season with a 13-1 record.
