Raiders Sweep Irish on Region Road

Baylor Girls 32, Father Ryan 28. The Baylor girls' basketball team held Father Ryan to two points in the final quarter to edge the Irish 32-28 in region action at Father Ryan Friday. 

Britt Barton had two 3-pointers and led the Raiders with 10 points, Hayden Barton had two 3s and finished with eight points, Bella White scored five points, and Brooklyn Gordon, Cadashia Collins, and Macy Ann McKnight had one 3-point goal each.

Baylor, 11-14 overall and 5-7 in league play, hosts Brentwood Academy Tuesday.

Baylor Boys 64, Father Ryan 50.  Beyuan Hendricks and Nick Kurtz delivered a one-two punch, scoring 21 points each, to lead the Baylor boys to a 64 win in region hoops action at Father Ryan Friday. Hendricks had three 3-pointers.

Greyson Linderman hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points, Wiley Pippenger added four points, and Blake Pruitt and Lorenzo White had one 3-pointer each. Isaac Vandenberg led the Irish with 19 points.

Baylor, 19-2 overall and 9-1 in region play, hosts Brentwood Academy Tuesday.

Baylor Swimming Wins 14th Straight Combined State Title; Girls Back on Throne; Boys Third

The Baylor swimming and diving team won its 28th combined Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) state championship Saturday, the 14th straight title, while the Baylor girls returned to the state throne for the 15th time, the first time since 2013. The Baylor boys were third.
