Raider State Run Ends

Briarcrest 3, Baylor 1. The Baylor volleyball team's streak of state tournament appearances came to an end Saturday as the Raiders lost to a familiar nemesis, Briarcrest, in the state quarterfinals in Memphis. The Saints won in four sets 25-21, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20.

Baylor had been a final four team for the last dozen years, winning state championships in 2014 and 2017 and finishing as runner-up in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018, and 2020. The Raiders end their season with a 17-13 record.
