Raider Comeback Falls Short

McCallie 28, Baylor 20. Cooper Wick threw two touchdown passes to Amari Jefferson in a four-minute span of the fourth quarter as the Baylor football team mounted a comeback charge that fell short in a 28-20 loss to McCallie Friday. Baylor's final drive for a tie ended with a Tornado interception.

Wick had a great night for the Raiders, completing 14 passes for just over 300 yards and accounting for all three Baylor touchdowns. The first TD pass was to Carson Yates in the third quarter. Jefferson caught five Wick passes for 211 yards, 95 of those coming on the second TD strike.

Trey McDonald was Baylor defensive leader, finishing with nine tackles and an assist. John Emendorfer had six unassisted tackles and was in on three more.
