Middle School Gridders Fall to Cleveland

Cleveland 9, Baylor 6. Daniel Bruce's long touchdown run was not enough for the Baylor Middle School football team as the Raiders fell to Cleveland 9-6 Thursday. Cleveland kicked a field goal, a rarity in Middle School football, in the final three minutes for the win. Defensive standouts for Baylor were Charlie Silberman, Cole Rose, and Brett Hogue. Baylor, 1-3, hosts Webb Thursday.

Cleveland 36, Baylor MSJV 8. In Middle School JV football action, Cleveland beat Baylor 36-8 Thursday. A late TD by Jack Ferguson on a long run was all Baylor could create. Baylor MSJV, 0-3, plays at McCallie Oct. 6.
