Baylor's Middle School golfers dominated their two postseason tournaments this week with girls' and boys' teams winning the district championships and Mattie Nall and Conner Sharp taking individual crowns at the HCAC Invitational.
Baylor Girls 95, GPS 106, CCS 114. The Baylor girls topped GPS and Chattanooga Christian at Brainerd on Monday for the district championship. Mattie Nall led the Raiders with a 47, Reese Hullander added a 48, and Emerson Hogue shot 50.
Baylor Boys 354, McCallie 376, CCS 420. The Baylor boys also took a district crown, beating McCallie and Chattanooga Christian. Conner Sharp's 77 led the way for the Raiders, Mac McMahon added an 80, Owen McDaniel had a 96, Eli Haddock 101, and Beau Howalt shot 102.
Hot play for Baylor golfers continued at Tuesday's HCAC Invitational at Brown Acres with Baylor girls' sweeping the first three places. Mattie Nall was the champion at 42, Reese Hullander was runner-up with a 44, and Emerson Hogue shot 45 for third place.
Conner Sharp won the boys' division with a round of 77 and Owen McDaniel was fourth with a 90. Also for Baylor, Mac McMahon shot 93, Beau Howalt had a 106, and Eli Haddock shot 112.
