Middle School Boys Win, Girls Lose

Baylor Boys 35, Loftis 27. William Barker scored 17 points to lead the Baylor Middle School boys' basketball team to its first win of the season Thursday, 35-27 over visiting Loftis. Zach Morrison and Sam Scearce added five points each, Ezra Sixto and George Stowe had three points apiece, and Daniel Bruce scored two points. Baylor, 1-2, plays at Chattanooga Prep Saturday.

Loftis 51, Baylor Girls 23. The Baylor Middle School girls' basketball team lost to Loftis 51-23 Thursday. Mia Kinney led the Raiders with 10 points, Rory Oleksik added seven, Kaiulani Sherrow had three, Sydney Scoggins had two points, and Amiya Leach scored one point. Baylor, 1-5, plays at CGLA Saturday.

Baylor MSJV Boys 39, Loftis 35. The Baylor MSJV boys' team also earned its first win Thursday, beating Loftis 39-35. Banks Born led the Raiders with nine points, Cosmo DeMatteo and Caleb Copeland added eight points each, Patrick Rice had four points, Logan Smith and Luke Wilkerson had three points apiece, and Kelby Barnette and Christopher Smith both scored two points. Baylor MSJV, 1-2, plays at Chattanooga Prep Saturday.

Loftis 26, Baylor MSJV Girls 13. In MSJV girls' action, Loftis beat Baylor 26-13. Catherine Curtis scored four points to lead the Raiders, Audrey Huddleston and Annie Williams added three points each, Kennedy Elkins had two points, and Charlotte Hoss scored one point. Baylor MSJV, 1-5, hosts Lake Forest on Dec. 1.
