McCallie Beats Low-Scoring Raiders

McCallie 48, Baylor 22. The Baylor boys' basketball team posted its lowest scoring total of the season Friday, bowing to McCallie 48-22. Only four Raiders scored in the game with Beyuan Hendricks and Nick Kurtz leading with eight points each. Lorenzo White had the only 3-pointer of the game for Baylor and finished with five points and Noah Martin scored one point. McCallie was led by Eric Rivers with 19 points.

Baylor drops to 19-4 overall and 9-3 in region play.

McCallie 42, Baylor JV 37. In JV action preceding the varsity game, McCallie beat Baylor 42-37. Robert Morton led the Raiders with seven points including a 3-pointer, Eli Sparkman, Cooper Kinney, and Watson Brown added six points each, Pete Collins had five points, Saad Mohammad hit one 3-pointer, Carson Yates had two points, and Patrick Johnson and Ben Sparkman scored one point apiece.

Baylor Swimming Wins 14th Straight Combined State Title; Girls Back on Throne; Boys Third

The Baylor swimming and diving team won its 28th combined Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) state championship Saturday, the 14th straight title, while the Baylor girls returned to the state throne for the 15th time, the first time since 2013. The Baylor boys were third.
