Eight Finalists, Six Champs Lead Baylor to Brawl Title

The Baylor wrestling team had six champions and two runners-up at the Fandetti-Richardson Brawl in Johnson City this weekend, running away with the team title by more than 50 points. The Raiders finished atop a strong field that included second-place Bradley Central, Lakeway Christian in third, and host Science Hill and Spain Park rounding out the top five.

Jacob Bond was the champion at 106 pounds, Jackson Bond won the 126-pound class, Micah Tisdale was the 152-pound champ, Michael Kinsey topped the 170-pound division, Omaury Alvarez won at 182 pounds, and Gunnar Garriques was the champion at 220 pounds. Baylor's two other finalists - Garrison Dendy at 138 and Tine Latimer at 195 - finished as runners-up.

The Raiders host Notre Dame and Signal Mountain Wednesday.
