Dill, Corona, Kurtz Lead Baylor at Spring Fling

Baylor 10, Ensworth 0. The Baylor baseball team had a good beginning to its defense of the 2018 state championship Tuesday, blanking Ensworth 10-0 in game one of the 2019 Spring Fling.

Sophomore Jay Dill earned the shutout, working all five innings of the run-rule shortened game and allowing just four hits, walking three, and striking out eight. Danny Corona was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI and Nick Kurtz finished 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Baylor, 25-6, will play Christian Brothers Wednesday at 12:30 ET at Wilson Central in a semifinal game.
