Davis, Packer, Jenne, Pippenger Lead List of State Track Qualifiers

Juniors Emmy Davis and Makayla Packer will lead the Baylor girls' track and field team, competing in two events each at the TSSAA D-II state championships in next week's Spring Fling in Murfreesboro. Davis has qualified for the 1600 and 3200 meter runs while Packer will defend state championships in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes.

Other state qualifiers for the Baylor girls include junior Ruthie Burnette (pole vault), senior Ally Craig (high jump), eighth grader Evie Culbreath (100 meter hurdles), senior Maddie Sims (400 meter), junior Autumn Seymour (300 meter hurdles), and junior Hannah Rosser (800 meter). More athletes will join these eight Red Raiders to compete in all four (4 X 100 meter, 4 X 200 meter, 4 X 400 meter, 4 X 800 meter) relays.

The Baylor boys will be led by sophomore Riley Jenne and senior Wiley Pippenger, qualifiers in three events each plus competitors in this week's state decathlon. Jenne will long jump and run the 100 and 200 meter dashes while Pippenger will high jump and fun both hurdle events, the 110 meter and the 300 meter.

Also qualifying for Baylor are senior Jack Holcombe (pole vault), junior Dustin Morrison (400 meter), and senior Jackson Collette (800 meter). Raider athletes will also compete in the 4 X 200, 4 X 400, and 4 X 800 meter relay events.
