Baylor Soccer Joins the Spring Fling Party

Baylor 5, Memphis University School 0. Five players scored goals for the Baylor soccer team as the Raiders shut out Memphis University School 5-0 in the state quarterfinal round Saturday, advancing to the Spring Fling.

Gui Gragnano, Mohammed Wumpini, Riley Shankle, Jon Ryan Godbehere, and David Wang found the net for Baylor with assists going to Phelipe Spielman (2) and Anthony Weekley. Zachary Ubamadu earned the shutout in the Raider goal.

Baylor improves to 16-1-1 and will take on McCallie in the semifinal round of the state championship on Wednesday. Father Ryan and Christian Brothers square off in the other semifinal. A championship would be the sixth D-II title for Baylor and the first since 2018.
