Baylor's pole vaulters finished first and third in both the girls' and boys' divisions at the Mid-South Classic at McCallie Saturday. The Baylor girls finished in fourth place and the Baylor boys were seventh.
Ruthie Burnette cleared 9' 6" to win the girls' pole vault and Julia Kaufman was third. Maddie Sims had a big day, finished third in the high jump and 400 meter dash and fifth in the 200 meter dash. Evie Culbreath was third in the 100 meter dash, Miah Flanagan was fourth in the long jump, and the 4 X 100 meter relay team of Aliya Cooper, Baker Young, Culbreath, and Flangan finished second.
Jack Holcombe was the boys' pole vault champion with a jump of 12' 7". Michael Howard finished third. Riley Jenne posted three top five finishes, placing fifth in the long jump and the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Baylor teams host Cookeville in dual meet Tuesday.
