Baylor Girls Take Region Runner-Up Trophy, Boys Eliminated by McCallie; Three Raiders Qualify for State

Baylor Girls 26, Boyd Buchanan 1. The Baylor girls' bowling team stamped its ticket to the state tournament Thursday with a 26-1 blitzing of Boyd Buchanan in the semifinals of the region tournament. A 212 by Reed Petty led the Raiders to a 2435-1789 total pin advantage.

McCallie 16, Baylor 11. McCallie's 2837-2660 total pin advantage was the difference in the match as the Tornado's three bonus point for most pins eliminated the Baylor boys 16-11 in a quarterfinal match. Colin Ahearn had three wins for the Raiders while Dalton Chuba, an individual state tournament qualifier, had the high game with a 212. Baylor ends the season with a 9-9 record.
