Baylor Girls Notch Region Win, Boys Stay Unbeaten

Baylor Girls 57, St. Cecilia 45. Though missing their leading scorer, the Baylor girls' basketball team outscored St. Cecilia 22-6 in the fourth quarter to take a 57-45 region win in Nashville Friday.

Bella White led the Raiders with 15 points, Macy Ann McKnight added 13, Brooklyn Gordon had a 3-pointer and finished with nine points, Hayden Barton had six points with a 3-pointer, Britt Barton had a 3-pointer and five points, Kortney Restelli and Kyndall Shamblin had three points each, Paige Gilbert added two, and Cadashia Collins scored one point. St. Cecilia's Farrah Davis led all scorers with 19 points.

Baylor, 8-8 overall and 2-2 in league play, travels to Pope John Paul II Tuesday.

Baylor Boys 67, Knoxville Webb 59. Beyuan Hendricks scored 29 points to lead the Baylor boys' basketball team in a 67-59 over Webb on Saturday, keeping the Raiders undefeated on the season. Hendricks hit three 3-point goals in the game.

Lorenzo White added 14 points for Baylor with two 3s, Nick Kurtz had nine points, Wiley Pippenger eight, Blake Pruitt had a 3-pointer and finished with five points, and Ivan Reap scored two points. Webb was led by Tariq Daughton with 15 points.

Baylor, 12-0, gets back to region play at Pope John Paul II Tuesday.

Baylor JV Boys 80, Knoxville Webb 47.  In Saturday's JV boys' action, twelve players scored in an 80-47 win for Baylor. Cooper Kinney led the Raiders with 19 points, Robert Morton had two 3-pointers and finished with 15 points, Eli Sparkman added nine points with a 3-pointer, Watson Brown had seven points, Ethan Wright had two 3s for six points, Saad Mohammad and Pete Collins had a 3-pointer and five points each, Carson Yates added five points, Patrick Johnson hit one 3-pointer, and Jeremiah Skipworth, Hunter Herndon, and Elliott Eischeid scored two points apiece. Baylor JV, 5-1, plays at Brentwood Academy Friday.
