Smith Heads to Princeton

Baylor senior Addison Smith, who led the AquaRaider girls' and combined swim teams to state titles this season, will continue her swimming career at Princeton University next year.

Smith, a four-year boarding student from Knoxville, Tenn., is a 12-time National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American and a two-time Tennessee (TISCA) state champion in the 500 freestyle, holding the Baylor record in that event. In January of 2019, Smith qualified for this summer's Olympic Team Trials in the 400 freestyle at the TYR Pro-Swim Series in her home town of Knoxville, finishing 11th overall.

Smith, who has also run cross country and track for Baylor, is an accomplished triathlete, qualifying as part of Team USA for the 2018 World Triathlon Championships.

Princeton finished third in the Ivy League swimming standings this season.
