Smith Adds Fourth Olympic Qualifier

Recent Baylor grad Addison Smith '19 has qualified for a fourth event in the 2020 Olympic Team Trials, winning the 200 meter butterfly in a qualifying time of 2:13.09 at the Southeastern Swimming Long Course Championships in Huntsville, Ala. on July 20.

Smith had already made Olympic Trials cuts in the 200 freestyle, the 400 freestyle, and the 200 individual medley.

A two-time state champion in the 500 freestyle while at Baylor, Smith will swim at Princeton University in the fall.

Smith joins Olympic Trials qualifiers Ellie Waldrep '21, who made the trials in the 100 meter backstroke at the Atlanta Classic in May, and the University of Florida's Trey Freeman '18, who will swim the 200 and 400 freestyles.
