Nelson Highlights Best of Preps Lists

Baylor wrestling coach Ben Nelson was named Coach of the Year in the Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of Preps series, highlighting a list of a dozen Baylor athletes, including three freshmen and an eighth grader, who have received the honor so far this year. Nelson coached the Red Raiders to both duals and traditional state championships this season.

Joining Nelson as Chattanooga's Best of Preps are all-state performer Helen Webb '23 (girls' cross country); Noah Martin '20 (football); state runners-up Ally Craig '19, Elaine Redman '21, and Denver Rogers '19 (volleyball); TSSAA Mr. Basketball finalist Beyuan Hendrick '19 (boys' basketball), and state champions Jackson Bond '22, Garrison Dendy '22, David Harper '22, Noah Horst '20, Andrew Pace '19, and Mason Reiniche '19 (wrestling).

Best of Preps teams for spring sports will be announced in the coming weeks.
