Baylor soccer coach Curtis Blair and senior Melissa Oliveira

Baylor senior Melissa Oliveira has signed a soccer scholarship with the University of Texas at Tyler, the fourth member of the 2021-22 Baylor team to continue their soccer career in college.

Oliveira is a three-year boarding student from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was a two-time All-State performer and was a key player in Baylor's run to the state finals last fall.

UT-Tyler is a part of the NCAA's Division II and plays in the Lone Star Conference.

"I am very proud of this young lady and know she will do big things at Tyler," said Baylor coach Curtis Blair. "She has been a joy to coach and she grew up watching and playing the game all her life. She is now part of the Baylor Soccer family and will always be."

Oliveira was joined by friends and teammates at her signing party.
