Four Baylor Swimmers Earn Scholastic All-America Honors

Four Baylor swimmers have been selected by USA Swimming for the 2018-19 Scholastic All-America Team. Baylor seniors Alex Borisov and Will Tippett, as well as alumni Jameson Mitchum '19 and Addison Smith '19, have been named to the team.  Mitchum is currently swimming at Claremont McKenna College and Smith is swimming at Princeton University.

The Scholastic All-America Team recognizes USA Swimming members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event. To be eligible for this recognition, swimmers must have completed 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade and must be a USA Swimming member athlete.

“We are thrilled to once again have several members of our team be selected as Scholastic All-Americans,” said Baylor Head Coach Dan Flack. “We have established a tradition with the Baylor swimming program of national excellence both in the water and in the classroom, and these fine student-athletes have now added to that tradition.”
