Baylor's girls' and boys' soccer teams have been named by United Soccer Coaches as recipients of High School School Team Academic Awards for the 2020-21 school year.
The High School Team Academic Award goes to teams, led by active United Soccer Coaches members, that maintained a grade point average of 3.25 or better for all players on the roster during the 2020-21 academic year.
This is the eighth Team Academic Award for the Baylor girls and the tenth for the Baylor boys. Baylor is one of only 31 high schools in America with both girls' and boys' team earning the honor, the eighth such accomplishment for the program.
Baylor coach Curtis Blair says the award is for the players and the faculty at Baylor. "This is a huge accomplishment for our program. We have great student-athletes that are winning in the classroom and on the soccer field. This award also goes to all the wonderful teachers at Baylor who push our students to be the best they can be in the classroom. This is an award for all their time, energy, and commitment."
