The son of a college wrestling coach, Jordan Leen’s Hall of Fame career has come full circle, as he now is a college coach himself. Leen is currently an assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh after serving as an assistant at Duke University and associate head coach at the University of Virginia.
Leen was Baylor’s first four-time state champion, winning titles in four different weight classes from 2001 to 2004. He was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the state tournament his senior year. Upon graduation, Leen was the all-time winningest wrestler in Tennessee with 214 victories. He was part of three Baylor teams that won traditional state titles and two state dual championship teams. During his senior year, he was the 130-pound national champion at the National High School Seniors Championships.
Leen compiled an impressive collegiate record at Cornell University, culminating in an NCAA national championship at 157 pounds in 2008. At Cornell, he posted a career record of 118-29 while garnering All-Ivy League and All-American honors in three seasons. A two-time champion in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association, the oldest wrestling conference in the NCAA, Lee was a four-time NCAA qualifier, placing first in 2008, third in 2009, and eighth in 2007.
Leen and his wife, Paige (Lanter) ’06, have two sons, Judah and Eli.
