A standout on the Baylor football team, Blake Moore was named the team's Most Valuable Lineman and All-City and also played in the Tennessee High School All-Star Game during his senior year. He earned two varsity letters playing fullback on the soccer team, helping to lead it to the 1976 State Championship. In addition, Blake earned two varsity letters as a discus thrower for the track team. An outstanding student, Blake was salutatorian and a National Merit Scholar.

Blake started every game in his four-year career on the Wooster College football team. Among his football honors: three-time Academic All-American Player; Little All-American Team, 1979; twice named Outstanding Lineman in the Ohio Athletic Conference; All-Ohio Athletic Conference for three years. He received an NCAA scholarship for Academic Excellence in 1979. Blake graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in history in 1980.

An offensive lineman, Blake played center and backed up at tackle, guard, and tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1980-1983, playing in Super Bowl XVI. He also played for the Green Bay Packers in 1984 and 1985.

Following an outstanding NFL career, Blake graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Law School in 1989.
