Don't Miss the Science & Engineering Symposium May 10

The sixth annual Science and Engineering Symposium takes place in the Weeks science building on Tuesday, May 10, from 5–7 p.m.

The event showcases college-level work conducted by students enrolled in Baylor’s advanced scientific research program and will feature more than 55 abstracts. Projects include an array of studies that involve gene expression and behavioral assays of the model organism C. elegans, examining host-symbiont interactions and predation on clay salamanders, virtual reality for healthcare and education applications, and embedded systems for robotics and cube satellites.

“We are excited to showcase the hard work and dedication of our students and faculty and look forward to this opportunity to give others a glimpse into the world of Baylor Research and other scientific endeavors around the school,” said Science Department Chair Elizabeth Burnette '99
