Biography

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Averbeck graduated from Sewanee:The University of the South in 2009 and later earned her master ‘s degree in English from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She also spent a semester of study at Oxford University. Since completing her master’s, she has worked as an adjunct professor at Chattanooga State and Ivy Academy.

Averbeck also brings experiences from Kid’s Ranch Camp in Jackson Hole, Wyo., The Wall Street Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the Boys and Girls Club here in Chattanooga.

Jennifer and her husband, Cody, have a son, Rowan.
