At Sewanee, Hillary was awarded the Ruggles-Wright Prize for Excellence in French in addition to graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Biography

Hillary Spiller earned her B.A. in French and Theater at the University of the South: Sewanee, spending her junior years on exchange in France. At Sewanee, she was awarded the Ruggles-Wright Prize for Excellence in French in addition to graduating Summa Cum Laude. Heading south by southwest, Hillary earned an M.A. in Foreign Language Education, with a specialization in French, from the University of Texas.

Since returning to Tennessee, she has continued to stay engaged with the French-speaking community while working at UTC and the Chattanooga school of language.

Hillary has taught at St. Michael's Catholic Academy, the Chattanooga School of Language, and has been an adjunct professor at UTC.
