Biography

Joining the Baylor faculty in 2004 as an Associate Director of Admissions was a homecoming of sorts for Card, a member of the graduating class of 1989. “I was grateful for the opportunity to return to Baylor and be a part of this great community.”

Card later left his admission role to teach in the Middle School and has also served as assistant varsity baseball coach, working alongside long-time head baseball coach Gene Etter, who coached Card when he was a student on the varsity baseball team. Card came to Baylor from John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was a math teacher and head baseball coach. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Samford University, also in Birmingham. Card has family ties to Baylor as well. His sister, Cam, is a Baylor graduate of 1996. Card and his wife, Laura, are the parents of Carson '21 and Weber.
