Jonas did his undergraduate studies at Yale University, playing football for Yale and earning a degree in Political Science. 
Biography

Jonas is joining the Middle School as a geography and American studies instructor while also taking the position of the head middle school football coach and coaching middle school basketball.  An alum of Montgomery Bell Academy, he did his undergraduate studies at Yale University, playing football for Yale and earning a degree in Political Science.  He returned to Nashville to teach and coach at Franklin Road Academy.    He continued coaching and teaching at the Ensworth School where he taught middle school history and geography, and then he moved on to MBA and where he coached football and basketball and taught U.S. history, U.S. government and economics.  After several more years of experience back at Ensworth and at Evangelical Christian School in Memphis, Jonas landed at Battle Ground Academy as the head football coach while pursuing a master’s degree in sports management at the University of Florida specializing in high performance coaching which he completed in 2023.  His wife, Crockett, is an Upper School Learning Center instructor and they have four children: Richard ’28,  Eleanor ’29, Hale ’31, and Jack.
