After a filling pancake breakfast, we ventured on to the Santa Maria River in the Panamanian jungle. We paddled over many rapids, rocks, and calm water.

... After lunch, a few of us ventured out to the local market while the rest of the group napped and played card games. Now we await dinner and look forward to a relaxing evening in the cool Panama weather. Over and Out. ”

Walkabout in Santa Fe, Panama
“This trip strikes an ideal balance between challenging our students’ skills ad composure on the river and giving them time to relax and explore the culture and pace of a quiet farming town in Panama. As classroom guides and teachers, we are fortunate to share our time with students, whose dinnertime conversation ranges from the intensity of the days; rapids to debates on Oedipus and Antigone.”
- Tim Williams, Walkabout director and Eastern religion instructor
